My heart is bursting with thankfulness as I sit in peaceful contemplation today. This letter is more than just a thank-you; it is a love letter to all of the people, studios, collaborators, and fans who have supported me during every stage of this incredible adventure.
As a nervous but optimistic newcomer to Hollywood, I was welcomed by a community that recognized not only my background but also my potential. Lessons, late hours, soul-testing auditions, and times of self-doubt that only desire could conquer were all part of the journey, which wasn’t always simple. Hollywood, however, provided me with something priceless throughout it all: the room to develop, fail, learn, and become.
I’m grateful to my fellow artists and the filmmakers who believed in me, enabling me to share important stories. You provided me with opportunities that transformed my life, screenplays that moved me, and roles that tested my heart. Every role, set, and partnership has helped me better grasp who I am as a person, molded by empathy, resiliency, and love, in addition to my identity as an actress.
You are my foundation, my admirers. Your messages, applause, and steadfast support, both in person and on social media, serve as a constant reminder to me that art cannot be fully appreciated without the people who experience it. Your support has gotten me through times of uncertainty and fatigue. I am reminded of why I chose this road when I look into the crowd and see the warmth in your eyesβconnection is the real meaning of film.
Thank you to the Ana de Armas community, who have helped me from Cuba to Spain and all across the world, for always reminding me of my roots. You have served as my pride, my guide, and my source of strength.
