To the Michigan Wolverines Football Program, the Maize and Blue fans, and the whole Wolverines Community,
As I reflect on my time at Ann Arbor, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude, humility, and a strong sense of honor. Wearing the block “M” on my chest has been both a privilege and a defining moment in my life. I write this letter not just as a quarterback, but also as a young man influenced by the love, support, and faith you have shown me over the years.
From the moment I arrived upon the Big House grounds, I felt the gravitas of being a Michigan Wolverine. It was more than simply football; it was about tradition, responsibility, and an unbreakable tie with one of the most devoted fan bases in sports. Every time I ran out of the tunnel, I realized I was a part of something far bigger than myself, with over 100,000 voices resounding in unison. That sound will be with me forever.
To Coach Jim Harbaugh and the coaching staff, thank you for believing in me, challenging me, and preparing me not just as a quarterback but also as a man ready to tackle life’s many challenges. You provided an environment in which I could grow, where my failures became lessons and my achievements became stepping stones to something bigger. You showed me that brilliance is a manner of life, not a goal.
My teammates are like brothers in the locker room, and our bond is unbreakable. We sweated through the arduous rehearsals, experienced the long film sessions, and shared pain and triumph in front of the biggest lights. You pushed me to be a better athlete and person. The brotherhood we created is something I will take with me no matter where life leads.
To the Maize and Blue Nation, you are the program’s heartbeat. You came out in the rain, snow, and sunlight, filling the stands with energy and emotion that carried us through every minute. But it wasn’t just Saturdays; it was about the Ann Arbor community and the state of Michigan, where every handshake, word of support, and reminder to “Go Blue” gave me strength. You made me feel more like a family member than an athlete.
Michigan has given me more than I could possibly repay. It has instilled in me memories, lessons, and principles that will guide me through life. The standard of “Those Who Stay Will Be Champions” is more than a slogan; it is a truth I have lived and will continue to bear.
As I look to the future, I know I’ll always be honored to be a Wolverine. Thank you for the love, belief, and steadfast support that helped shape who I am today.
