I realized I was a part of something far bigger than myself the moment I put on the black and white jumper. Collingwood is more than simply a football team; it’s a family, a pulse that connects generations, and a representation of tenacity and faith. I want to express my sincere gratitude for your love, trust, and unwavering support during every high point, every obstacle, and every pivotal moment of my career as I take a moment today to look back on my journey.
The roar of the MCG fans, the pride of representing this great club, and the shared emotion of success and failure are just a few of the best experiences I have had in football. But without my teammates, coaches, the club staff, and most importantly, you, the fans, none of those moments would have had the same significance. I’ve sensed your passion each time I’ve run out on that field. No matter the scoreboard, it’s evident in the banners you fly, the songs you sing, and the conviction you uphold.
To the Collingwood supporters: you have supported me at every setback, every recovery, and every time I needed courage. You’ve demonstrated to me that when things get difficult, support doesn’t falter—rather, it gets stronger. That devotion has influenced me as a person and as a football player. You’ve helped me realize that being a Magpie is about pride, solidarity, and grit rather than just skill.
Thank you to my coaches and teammates for encouraging me, believing in me, and putting your faith in me to help realize our common goal. Together, we have created a strong culture of accountability and fraternity that endures beyond any difficulties.
And to all of the Collingwood organization’s hardworking behind-the-scenes employees, including the trainers, medics, and support personnel, your commitment is always valued even though it frequently goes unnoticed.
Please know that my heart will always beat for Collingwood as I look forward to the next chapter. Everywhere I travel, I take this jumper, this family, and this legacy with me. I’m grateful for the opportunity to live my ambition and for fostering an atmosphere that allowed me to develop, flourish, and feel like I belonged.
