To my beloved Moody Blues brothers, our amazing fans, and the whole Moody Blues community,
I am incredibly grateful and thinking back on the incredible adventure we have taken together as I sit down to write this letter. It has been more than just music from the first note we played till the innumerable evenings spent on stage beneath the glittering lights; it has been a connection of hearts, souls, and enduring memories.
I had no idea when I joined The Moody Blues how far our sound would spread—across decades, through generations, and into the hearts of millions of people. Together, we created an experience and a movement that reshaped the possibilities of rock music, going beyond just songs and albums. Without the continuous support of everyone who believed in us, our music would not have been able to develop into a voice of wonder, spirituality, and emotional depth.
Graeme, John, Ray, and Mike, my bandmates, were more than just partners; you were family. Trust, mutual respect, and a common goal were the foundations of every harmony and lyric we wrote. We stood together through artistic setbacks and victories, confident that the music would always lead us back to our roots. I will always appreciate your humor, your fraternity, and your artistic abilities.
The genuine magic behind every note has been our fans’ devotion and enthusiasm, who are The Moody Blues’ lifeblood. You took us through every period, from the early days of Days of Future Passed to the timeless reverberation of Nights in White Satin. You listened with your hearts as well as your ears, and that bond has supported me throughout my entire professional journey.
I am still awed by the affection you continue to show me even as the years pass. You have allowed me to pursue my passion, which is to compose, perform, and spread timeless music. A dreamer with a guitar could now communicate with the world because to you.
Looking back, I see a family united by meaning and music, not just a legacy. The Moody Blues will always be a part of our collective essence, not only in our records.
