The offense will greatly benefit from a roster adjustment made by the Denver Broncos during their required offseason minicamp. J.K. Dobbins

For the 2025 season, Dobbins and the Broncos reached an agreement on a one-year contract worth up to $5.25 million. By signing Dobbins, the Broncos strengthened their running back room even more and improved Bo Nix’s room going into the second season.
Dobbins spoke out about his decision to sign with the Broncos during his first appearance at minicamp. DNVR’s Zac Stevens shared Dobbins’ initial remarks regarding his motivation for traveling to Denver.
According to Dobbins, “I felt like it was the best fit for me,” “Defense is excellent, excellent, excellent. Quarterbacks are incredible. The RB room appeals to me. O-line is also fantastic. The answer seemed obvious.
It was “no-brainer” for Dobbins to pick Denver, but the Broncos also knew it was the right choice. The Broncos will greatly benefit from having another capable backup, especially since rookie RJ Harvey is in charge of the running back room.
Both Jaleel McLaughlin and Audric Estime are capable of being good supporting backs, but neither is the ideal choice for Denver’s number two running back position. Dobbins is a wonderful fit and Harvey’s ideal backfield partner.
Dobbins went on to compliment the team, highlighting both the coaches and the supporters.
“Coach Sean Payton, and all the other coaches on the staff, too,” Dobbins continued. I’m confident that I’ll receive good coaching here. It has a good fan base, I’ve heard. That’s why I’m here, then.
It was “no-brainer” for the 26-year-old running back that Dobbins would join the Broncos. Dobbins signed with the Broncos to stay in the division after having a career-best season in which he ran for 905 yards and nine touchdowns.
