The Indiana Pacers have disclosed center Myles Turner’s injury status as they prepare for Game 4 of the NBA Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Although Turner fought through a sickness in Game 3, his name was left off of the next game’s injury report.
For the Pacers, having Turner on the court makes all the difference. As a real two-way player, Turner serves as Indiana’s defensive anchor and makes the Pacers one of the league’s most dangerous teams.
After the sickness, Turner’s condition caused some alarm in Indiana. This is big news because Turner played through the problems in Game 3, but the Pacers weren’t sure how he would react.
Later, Pacers coach Rick Carlisle stated, “Well, Myles is under the weather.” Tomorrow, he might not even be present. He simply hasn’t been feeling well for the past few days. His wind was being affected. I believe it’s appropriate to emphasize that he’s working through something, even though he won’t bring it up.
Turner has averaged 14.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks in 19 games so far this season, including the postseason. The Pacers have a fantastic chance to grab a decisive 3-1 lead in the series against the Thunder now that he is available.
However, Oklahoma City will probably come out desperate to tie the series. This series has put Oklahoma City out of its element, and the Pacers are now only two victories away from winning the championship.
In the following game, Indiana will have to endure the Thunder’s unavoidable blow. Fortunately, Indiana has handled this well throughout the postseason and ought to be prepared.
