News Era : Houston Texans standout Stefon Diggs alleges he is being targeted in an extortion attempt.

Houston Texans wide receiver Stefon Diggs has filed a lawsuit in Harris County, Texas, alleging that reality TV star Mia Jones, known as Mulan Hernandez, and her friend Brianna “Brii” Mack attempted to extort millions of dollars from him. The lawsuit, filed on February 26, 2025, accuses Jones and Mack of assault, property destruction, and conspiracy.

According to the lawsuit, on June 7, 2024, Jones and Mack entered Diggs’ apartment uninvited. Jones allegedly punched Diggs in the chest, threatened his career, and destroyed his property, including a $130,000 watch and a PC gaming system. Diggs also claims that Jones threatened him with a deadly weapon during the incident.

Following this altercation, Diggs alleges that Jones and Mack attempted to extort him by threatening to publicize false allegations to damage his career unless he paid them millions of dollars. Diggs’ attorney, Kent Schaffer, stated that the lawsuit aims to halt these alleged threats and extortion attempts, emphasizing that Diggs was a victim of individuals attempting to exploit his celebrity status.

In response, Jones has denied Diggs’ allegations and accused him of assaulting her, resulting in a concussion. She addressed the allegations on Instagram, calling them fabricated and accusing Diggs of trying to intimidate her after mediation failed. Jones provided medical documents for a concussion diagnosis from the day in question.

At the time of the incident, Diggs was recovering from a season-ending ACL injury sustained in October 2024 and is currently a free agent. Prior to his injury, the 31-year-old wide receiver had six consecutive 1,000-yard seasons, leading the league in 2020 with the Buffalo Bills.

As of now, no court date has been set for the proceedings.
