An Epochal Open Letter from Matt Entz to the Fresno State Bulldogs, Fans, and the Whole Bulldog Community To the Fresno State Bulldogs family, our faithful fans, and the whole Bulldogs community, As I sit down to reflect on this great journey, my heart is filled with immense appreciation for your constant love, support, and believe in me. From the minute I joined this fantastic program, I sensed the passion, pride, and dedication that define Fresno State football. It has been an honor to be a part of this family, and I’d like to take a moment to thank everyone who has contributed to this trip.
To my players, you are the heart and soul of our program. Your devotion, work ethic, and unwavering pursuit of greatness inspire me every day. We continue to push the envelope and achieve amazing things because of your dedication to one another and to this university. Seeing you grow, overcome hurdles, and give your all for the game and our team has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career.
To our committed fans—Bulldog Nation—your enthusiasm is unparalleled. Whether at Valley Children’s Stadium or on the road, your enthusiasm drives our team. You’ve supported us through every high and low, demonstrating that Fresno State football is more than simply a team, but a way of life. Your unrelenting commitment is what distinguishes this program. You make every game feel like home, and I am eternally grateful.
Thank you to the administration, athletic staff, and the whole Fresno State community for establishing an environment conducive to personal and professional growth. The assistance, resources, and commitment you provide have enabled me to confidently run this program, knowing that we are all working toward a common goal of success. Your belief in this team and in me has been critical along this journey.
We wrote this chapter together, and I am very pleased to represent the Bulldogs. While we celebrate our triumphs, we recognize that the journey never ends. The goals are still lofty, and the effort continues. Together, we will continue to build on the tradition of greatness that has long defined Fresno State football.
