An Epochal Open Letter from The Offspring to Their Fans, Band, and the Entire Offspring Community

To our cherished fans, bandmates, and the wonderful Offspring community:

We are filled with appreciation as we think on our crazy, rebellious, and very meaningful adventure together. The Offspring began as a handful of friends with some instruments and a dream, which has since grown into a global movement thanks to all of you. Now, with decades of music, memories, and mayhem behind us, it feels appropriate to pause and express something we don’t say nearly enough: thank you.

From garage days to crowded arenas, late-night writing sessions to mosh pits and encores, this band has served as a lifeline, creative force, and home. To Noodles, Greg, Todd, and everyone else who has participated to our musical adventure, you are more than just bandmates. You are brothers. The friendship we’ve formed on the road, in the studio, and during life’s unavoidable highs and lows is sacrosanct. Thank you for being the heartbeat of this music and the soul behind each chord.

Our fans—our extended family spanning continents, generations, and cultures—have been with us through it all. From Smash to Let the Bad Times Roll, your dedication, enthusiasm, and voices screaming back at us every night were the gasoline that kept us going. You didn’t simply listen to our music; you lived them. You made them your anthems. We are eternally grateful.

You showed up when we needed you the most. You allowed us to grow as artists and individuals while also welcoming us back with open arms. You were there, whether we were in the pit, wearing headphones, or blasting music on a lengthy trip. What about that connection? It is everything.

Thank you to the global Offspring community, which includes fan groups, tour crews, behind-the-scenes warriors, and a new generation discovering our music for the first time. You helped to foster an environment in which rebellion met meaning, punk met purpose, and we could truly be ourselves. That type of support is unusual. And we don’t take this for granted.

We’ve played through changing periods, different sounds, and eras. But one thing has remained constant: the spirit that united us all. That fire, drive, and honesty live on in every song, every show, and each and every one of us.

So here’s to the past we created, the present we share, and the future that still lies ahead. Know that you contributed to making this adventure remarkable, no matter where it takes you next. We are The Offspring—but more importantly, we exist because of you.

Dexter Holland and The Offspring send their love, punk energy, and eternal thanks.

—Keep it loud, keep it true, and never change who you are. Punk has not died; rather, it has matured slightly.
