Dear Chicago Bears Fans, Coaches, Teammates, and the Entire Windy City Community:
From the moment I walked into Halas Hall, I sensed something powerful—rare. It wasn’t simply the weight of the jersey or the responsibility of being the quarterback for one of the NFL’s most historic teams. It was the enormous love, unwavering support, and profound passion that each and every one of you has for our team. Today, I write this letter not just as a quarterback, but also as a humble and appreciative Bears fan.
Coming into the league, I understood there would be hurdles. I knew the expectations would be great, especially in a city that lives and breathes football. But what I didn’t realize was how much love this community had. Every cheer from Soldier Field, every young fan wearing No. 18, every handshake and word of support on Chicago’s streets reminded me of why I love this game. You didn’t just support me; you encouraged me.
Thank you to the coaching staff and my teammates for trusting me, believing in my leadership abilities, and surrounding me with wisdom and energy that helped me grow. Iron sharpens iron, and every day in practice, in the locker room, and on game day, we’ve formed friendships that transcend beyond football. I’ve learned far more than just how to read defenses; I’ve learnt what it is to lead with humility and give my all for something bigger than myself.
To the Bears organization, thank you for taking a risk on me, accepting me into a heritage that includes legends who paved the way, and providing me with every opportunity to succeed. From ownership to operations, your vision and commitment to excellence are unparalleled, and I am proud to wear the blue and orange.
And to the fans—the heart of Chicago—I want you to know that your belief in me has powered every play, every comeback, and every time I go onto the field. Whether it’s winter or sunshine, win or lose, you’ve taught me what it is to be a part of a city with an unbreakable spirit. I promise to continue giving you everything I have, every single snap.
