My heart is bursting to the seams with appreciation, humility, and introspection as I sit down to write these words. I want to express my sincere gratitude to the amazing Virginia Tech family, which includes the student-athletes, coaches, administration, alumni, and most importantly, the supporters who have stood by me through every triumph, every lesson, and every stage of my journey in Blacksburg.
It was like coming home when I was hired as your head football coach at Virginia Tech. I learned the fundamental characteristics of toughness, humility, and loyalty during my early days here under Coach Beamer. These traits influenced not only my coaching philosophy but also the kind of guy I aspire to be. It has truly been an honor to have been able to lead a team with such a rich history and fervor while walking the sidelines at Lane Stadium once more.
