Bucks “Noteworthy”: The Milwaukee Bucks During All-Star Weekend, Giannis Antetokounmpo was the only player who wasn’t a member of the Warriors to attend Steph Curry’s party (Report).

During the 2024–2025 NBA season, Giannis Antetokounmpo, a star for the Milwaukee Bucks, represented the Eastern Conference All-Stars.

The Golden State Warriors’ home court, the Chase Center, hosted the all-star game, in which Antetokounmpo took part.

When the superstar’s season ends, Golden State might be a team that is interested in signing them. The Warriors are now 3-1 behind the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Western Conference semifinal series. The Warriors are not the same club without Steph Curry, who is presently sidelined with a hamstring injury. Jimmy Butler was acquired by the Warriors from the Miami Heat prior to the NBA trade deadline. After the season, is it possible that Golden State will try to acquire Giannis?

If Antetokounmpo decides to leave the Bucks for the upcoming season, he has a lot of options. He would probably depart Milwaukee to join a team in the Western Conference. One team that might enter the Giannis sweepstakes this offseason is the Warriors. The Athletic’s Sam Amick explained why Golden State is in the running for the Antetokounmpo.

During NBA All-Star Weekend, Giannis was the only player who wasn’t on the Warriors to attend Curry’s party in San Francisco. Given that both athletes are represented by the same agency, things might get rather interesting.

Though they might not have the draft capital, Golden State might have some intriguing components to offer Milwaukee. Golden State may be able to let go of guys like Moses Moody and Jonathan Kuminga, as well as possibly Buddy Hield. Although Antetokounmpo and Curry might be a good combination, the Warriors supporters shouldn’t get too excited about the Bucks star.

Antetokoumpo might not play for Golden State the following season if he is not with Milwaukee. The two teams that might be the best fit for him and the Bucks in terms of a trade return are the Houston Rockets and the San Antonio Spurs. He will also be interested in the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Brooklyn Nets. The Warriors aren’t scared to trade for top players, but with Curry, they might be headed more toward rebuilding than contending for the championship.
