Following his elimination by the Knicks, Jaylen Brown sends an emotional message.

Following the Boston Celtics’ elimination from the 2025 NBA Playoffs by the New York Knicks, Jaylen Brown delivered an emotional message reflecting on the team’s abrupt end to their season. In a postgame press conference after the 119–81 Game 6 loss at Madison Square Garden, Brown expressed the depth of his disappointment, stating, “Losing to the Knicks feels like death.”

Despite the somber tone, Brown conveyed a sense of resilience and hope, adding, “I was always taught that there’s life after death, so we’ll get ready for whatever’s next.” He acknowledged the challenges faced during the season, including the loss of teammate Jayson Tatum to a torn Achilles in Game 4, and emphasized the team’s unity and perseverance through adversity.

Brown, who scored 20 points before fouling out in the third quarter of Game 6, also addressed the Celtics’ fans, recognizing the current hardships but urging optimism for the future. He stated, “I know Boston—it looks gloomy right now, obviously with JT being out, and us kind of ending the year, but it’s a lot to look forward to. This is not the end.”

As the Celtics enter the offseason, Brown’s message underscores a commitment to growth and a determination to return stronger in the next season.
