EA Sports has officially dropped the highly anticipated gameplay trailer for College Football 26, giving fans their first real look at the upcoming release set for July 10, 2025. This latest installment in the beloved franchise will be available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with early access starting on July 7 for those who pre-order the Deluxe Edition or MVP Bundle (which includes Madden NFL 26).

Building on the momentum of last year’s College Football 25, the new game brings a host of exciting features aimed at delivering the most authentic college football experience yet. One of the standout additions is the vastly expanded playbook, boasting over 2,800 plays, including unique schemes like Rice’s Modern Option and Penn State’s Gadget Heavy offense. This promises greater variety and depth in gameplay, giving fans more strategic options on the field.

Realism is a major focus, with College Football 26 featuring authentic rosters, coaching staffs, and stadiums from all 136 FBS schools. Players can expect thousands of real college athletes and over 300 real-world coaches, enhancing the game’s immersion and team dynamics.

The game also introduces a revamped “Stadium Pulse System” that replicates the high-pressure atmosphere of college football’s biggest moments. New crowd-based challenges like clock distortion and screen shake during rivalry and playoff games are designed to capture the intensity that fans love.

Gameplay mechanics have seen significant upgrades, including dynamic substitutions, improved fatigue management through an enhanced Wear and Tear system, and a physics-based tackling system with new tackle types and hit stick enhancements.

Adding to the collegiate atmosphere is a brand-new marching band soundtrack, featuring covers of popular songs alongside classic fight songs from schools nationwide.

Fan-favorite modes such as Road to Glory, Dynasty, and College Football Ultimate Team make their return, while the cover stars—top wide receivers Malik Nabers and Marvin Harrison Jr.—highlight the game’s embrace of current college stars.

College Football 26 promises to be a must-play for fans, blending cutting-edge features with the spirit of the college game.
