Dear St. Louis Blues, devoted fans, and the entire blues community,

As I take a quiet minute to think on this great chapter in my life, I am overwhelmed with gratitude and humility. It’s difficult to put into words what this city, team, and community have meant to me — but I believe it’s time to try. This letter is an homage to everyone who has been a part of my journey, and it is a heartfelt thank you for your love and support during each step.

When I initially arrived in St. Louis, I was a young athlete with huge aspirations and plenty to learn. I stepped inside the Enterprise Center with wide eyes and a full heart, prepared to help in any way I could. What I didn’t expect was how soon this place began to feel like home. The atmosphere, fraternity, and high standards pushed me to become not just a better player, but also a better guy.

Thank you, Blues organization, for believing in me. Thank you for providing an environment in which I can grow, compete, fail, and rise again. From the front office to the coaching staff, from the trainers to the equipment crew, you’ve all helped shape who I am today. You invested in me not only as a roster spot, but also as a person, and I’ll never forget that.

To St. Louis supporters, you are the team’s heartbeat. You infused the arena with relentless energy. You supported us through winning streaks and slumps. You made me feel supported even on the most difficult evenings. Whether it was a roaring applause after a goal, a handshake at the grocery store, or a message sent from across the world, I felt your presence and it fueled me. You didn’t just watch; you believed.

Thank you to the entire St. Louis community for embracing me with open arms. You made the city feel like home, rather than just another stop on my professional trip. From local schools to charity events to chance encounters across town, your compassion and class have left an indelible impression on my life.

As I look out to the future, wherever hockey may take me, I’ll carry with me the lessons, memories, and affection I gained while playing for the Blues. This is not our final goodbye. Thank you forever.

With my deepest respect and thanks,
Dylan Holloway,
