I see those of you who have been with me from the start, as well as those who joined as the light began to shine. Not only is your loyalty valued, but it is a fundamental part of my journey. I’m stronger, bolder, and more motivated than ever thanks to you. I rise with you as I rise.
This has been a really unpredictable journey. It has been a journey filled with challenges, triumphs, and lessons I will always remember, from beginning in the tumultuous entertainment industry at such a young age to establishing a platform where I could be who I really am through music. You, however, have been the one constant throughout it all: the supporters who remained by my side, the ones who came, who believed, and who reminded me that genuineness will always be heard over noise.
When I first started The Pretty Reckless, it was a method for me to express myself through sound and words that I couldn’t express. However, it developed into something far bigger than I had anticipated. It developed into a movement of people who were not scared to face suffering, embrace darkness, or discover beauty in the unvarnished and authentic. And it developed into what it is now because of you. Your energy, your stories posted online, and your voices at performances all inspire, motivate, and keep me grounded.
I won’t pretend that this journey has been simple. There have been hardships, heartaches, and times when I wondered whether I could go on. However, you have always been there for me, whether it was through the music, your in-person support, or simply by reminding me that our connection is genuine. Not only can such devotion sustain a band, it sustains a person.
Every note I’ve sung, every scream, every whisper, and every song we’ve written have all reflected our common experience. When I stand on stage and look out at the audience, it’s not just me; it’s all of us coming together to rise above the commotion and become something strong.
I will thus continue to be unapologetically honest. I’ll continue to give it my all in every performance, every riff, and every lyric. Because you’ve given me more than I could ever express—you’ve given me courage, direction, and an incentive to continue doing things.
I will never rise alone when I do. Louder, braver, and more unstoppable than ever, I’ll rise alongside you.
