Boone, North Carolina—Appalachian State Mountaineers quarterback AJ Swann has sent a meaningful Yuletide greeting to Appalachian State Football, its devoted fan base, and the whole Mountaineers community as the holiday season offers introspection, thankfulness, and solidarity.

Swann used the celebratory occasion to show gratitude to those who define Appalachian State outside of the scoreboard. Swann has swiftly embraced the pride and responsibilities that come with heading one of the most prestigious schools in the Sun Belt Conference. Swann stressed that the Mountaineers’ strength is found in their solidarity among their teammates, coaches, students, alumni, and supporters nationwide.

Swann remarked, “This time of year reminds you how important people are.” “Football unites us, but the community behind it—the coaches who believe in you, the teammates who push you every day, and the fans who show up no matter the weather or the situation—is what makes Appalachian State unique.”

Swann said that the support he has received since coming to Boone has left a lasting effect. He emphasized the accountability, resiliency, and humility that characterize Appalachian State Football, giving thanks to Head Coach Shawn Clark and the whole coaching staff for creating a climate based on growth and trust.

Swann went on, “I am appreciative of the chance to wear this uniform and represent this university.” “To play for a program with so much pride and tradition means something. I feel that duty every time I take the field.

Additionally, Swann expressed gratitude to the Mountaineers’ support base, which is regarded as one of the most fervent in NCAA football. He recognized the enthusiasm at Kidd Brewer Stadium and the steadfast support he received both at home and away from home as a continual source of inspiration.

“Your support matters, whether you’re in the stands, watching from home, or following us from miles away,” he declared. “You give us strength, self-assurance, and faith, particularly during the most difficult times.”

In keeping with the spirit of the season, Swann offered words of support for those going through difficult times over the holidays, encouraging kindness and unity among the Mountaineers family.

“Not everyone finds the holidays easy,” he continued. “Remember that being a Mountaineer means looking out for one another, check on each other, and taking care of your people.”

Swann reaffirmed his dedication to development on and off the field as he looked ahead to the new year with excitement and resolve.

He remarked, “I’m excited for what’s ahead.” “We’ll continue to work hard, keep getting better, and continue to properly represent Appalachian State.”

Warm regards to the Mountaineers community around the world, Swann concluded his letter. “Happy holidays and a happy Christmas.” We appreciate your faith in us. We’ll see you soon, stay safe, and have fun with your loved ones.
