Dear Radiohead members, fans, and the entire entertainment community,
As I write this letter, I am filled with gratitude, which I owe to each and every one of you. This moment, this contemplation, is about more than simply my path; it is about the collective love, support, and belief that has sustained me throughout the years. This is an open letter of gratitude to my wonderful bandmates, dedicated fans, and the larger entertainment community for embracing and empowering me.
What words could possibly express how grateful I am to my Radiohead family—Jonny, Colin, Ed, and Philip? We’ve gone on a journey that goes beyond music: one of shared creation, unwavering trust, and deep friendship. From our humble beginnings in Abingdon to the international stages we now share, you have been my brothers, partners, and continual sources of inspiration. The music we make exemplifies the unique chemistry of our united spirits, and I am eternally grateful to be a part of this wonderful group.
Our supporters’ steadfast support has been the lifeblood of our creativity. You persevered with us through every experimental chord, obscure lyric, and auditory diversion. You’ve given us the freedom to explore, push ourselves, and progress. Your dedication and open-mindedness have enabled us to push boundaries and create music that speaks to the most profound aspects of the human experience. Thank you for your perseverance, enthusiasm, and willingness to embrace the unconventional. You’ve made this adventure as much yours as ours.
To the rest of the entertainment industry—the producers, engineers, critics, venue operators, and countless more who work behind the scenes—you are our unsung heroes. You’ve provided us with platforms to perform, resources to create, and venues to interact with audiences throughout the world. Your hard work and dedication enable our goals to become a reality, and I am deeply grateful.
This letter is also a reflection on the unique and supportive atmosphere you have all created for my personal development as an artist. Over the years, you’ve given me the freedom to express my feelings, thoughts, and frequently restless mind through music that resonates beyond my comprehension. You’ve created room for my experiments and accepted my quirks, transforming what may have been private expressions into shared experiences.
Thank you to the numerous artists who came before us, as well as those who walk by us today, for inspiring me and contributing to a creative and expressive culture. To the next generation of artists, I encourage you to be bold, believe your intuition, and honour the reality of your work. The world needs your voices now more than ever.
Finally, I want to thank the entire entertainment community for making this journey possible. Your love, support, and conviction in music’s transformational power are what keep us going. I am honoured and humbled to be a part of this world, and I eagerly anticipate the new chapters we will write together.
