An open letter from Adam Lambert to Hollywood, ardent fans, and the entire entertainment community
Dear Hollywood, my devoted followers, and the larger entertainment community,
As I sit down to think on this magnificent experience, I am filled with appreciation and admiration. This last year has been nothing short of transformative, and I owe it all to your love, support, and encouragement throughout. Today, I’d like to express my profound gratitude for the impact each of you has played in advancing my career and helping me grow not only as an artist, but as a person.
Thank you, Hollywood, for allowing me to express myself totally and unapologetically. From my first days navigating this profession to the milestones that have characterised my career, you’ve offered an environment in which innovation thrives. Hollywood celebrates originality, and this vibrant environment has always given me the confidence to present my own voice and ideas. It is here that I realised not just the power of entertainment, but also the tremendous delight of teamwork.
To my Glamberts, you are the heart of my adventure. Your unfailing support, your energy at my concerts, your encouraging comments, and the love you shower me with have helped me get through the tough times. I can’t thank you enough for supporting me, seeing me for who I truly am, and embracing the music, passion, and message I aim to convey. You have not only inspired me to be courageous, but you have also demonstrated the power of connection and unity.
The entertainment industry as a whole deserves high recognition. Thank you to the songwriters, producers, musicians, crew workers, and all of the bright people who work so hard to make ideas come true. You are the foundation of everything we make. This year, in especially, has reminded me how much of a collaborative effort every performance, album, and project requires. It’s more than simply the spotlight; it’s about the teamwork and devotion that make it all happen.
This year has been a frenzy of invention and discovery.
