An Open Letter from Cheslin Kolbe to Tokyo Sungoliath, Fans, and the Whole Sungoliath Community
Dear Tokyo Sungoliath family,
As I reflect on my time at this amazing club, I am overcome with thanks, admiration, and heartfelt appreciation for each and every one of you. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with open arms, and that warmth has never faded. It’s been an honour to wear the Sungoliath jersey and represent a team founded on greatness, resilience, and unrelenting commitment.
I can’t thank my colleagues enough for the friendship, the fights we fought together, and the everlasting belief we had in one another. The brotherhood we had on and off the pitch is something I will always value. We pushed each other to be better every day, celebrated our victories, and learnt from our mistakes. Each of you has helped shape me as a player and a person, and I am eternally thankful.
Thank you, coaching staff and management, for believing in me and creating an environment in which I could grow and prosper. Your dedication to quality, discipline, and hard work has propelled me to greater heights. Your mentoring taught me valuable lessons that will serve me well throughout my career. Your leadership has helped me become a better player and person.
To the fans, you are the club’s heartbeat. Your enthusiasm, commitment, and steadfast support have been a constant source of motivation. The way you support us, through successes and struggles, makes playing for Sungoliath an amazing honour. I’ll never forget seeing you fill the stands, chanting and waving the club’s colours with joy.
Finally, I’d want to thank the entire Tokyo Sungoliath community for making my time here wonderful. This club’s culture, morals, and traditions are absolutely unique, and I consider myself extremely fortunate to have been a part of them. No matter where life takes me, I will always keep this club close to my heart.
