Few minute Ago On CN: Troy Aikman Blasts Cowboys Ownership: Coaching Job No Longer “Coveted”

Troy Aikman Calls Out Cowboys Ownership: Coaching Job No Longer “Coveted”

Troy Aikman didn’t hold back on Monday Night Football, stating that the Dallas Cowboys’ biggest issue is ownership failing to empower its head coaches. According to Aikman, this has been a problem ever since Jimmy Johnson left, and as a result, the Cowboys’ head coaching job isn’t as desirable as it once was.

These are tough words for Jerry Jones, but they need to be heard. Aikman, known for his blunt honesty, isn’t speaking out of bias—he’s telling the truth. The Cowboys front office consistently undermines its coaches, preventing them from having full control and the resources needed to succeed. Until Jerry steps back and lets his coaches truly lead, Dallas will continue to be stuck in the same cycle: high expectations, underwhelming results, and another year of what could have been.

Troy Aikman said on Monday Night Football that the issue is “the ownership doesn’t empower the Dallas Cowboys head coach. And that its been missing since Jimmy Johnson walked out the door.” He even went on to say “that the Cowboys coaching job isn’t “coveted” like it was at one time.”

While those may be tough words for Jerry to hear, we here at DC4L hope he hears them. One thing about Troy is that he’s a straight shooter and doesn’t show bias given his history with the organization. And he’s spot on here. The Cowboys front office HINDERS the coach. They don’t give them all the things needed to succeed. Until Jerry gets out of his coaches’ way, we will be a team that rinses and repeats season after season; year after year.
