According to Aikman, this has been a problem ever since Jimmy Johnson left, and as a result, the Cowboys’ head coaching job isn’t as desirable as it once was.
These are tough words for Jerry Jones, but they need to be heard. Aikman, known for his blunt honesty, isn’t speaking out of bias—he’s telling the truth. The Cowboys front office consistently undermines its coaches, preventing them from having full control and the resources needed to succeed. Until Jerry steps back and lets his coaches truly lead, Dallas will continue to be stuck in the same cycle: high expectations, underwhelming results, and another year of what could have been.
