As of February 5, 2025, there is no official information indicating that Robert Hight has terminated his contract or parted ways with the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA). However, in early 2024, Hight announced a temporary hiatus from racing due to undisclosed medical concerns. Austin Prock, a fellow driver at John Force Racing, stepped in to drive Hight’s Cornwell Tools/Auto Club Chevrolet Camaro Funny Car during his absence.

As of June 2024, there was no specific timetable for Hight’s return to competition. John Force, the team owner, mentioned that Hight’s treatments were progressing well, but Hight preferred to stay away from the races to avoid questions about his condition.

It’s important to note that Hight’s absence was described as a temporary medical leave, and there was no indication of a permanent departure from NHRA or John Force Racing. For the most accurate and up-to-date information, it’s advisable to consult official announcements from John Force Racing or reputable news outlets.
