A former rival of Michael Jordan weighs in on the NBA GOAT controversy.

Who the NBA’s Greatest of All-Time is is one of the most contentious issues in basketball, if not all of sports. Most players, journalists, and fans concur that the conversation is between current Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James and NBA legend Michaelย Jordan

After surpassing Jordan as the NBA’s all-time top scorer, James has recently challenged Jordan for the GOAT title. However, many people do not yet consider him the greatest of all time.

On this topic, almost everyone has an opinion, and many former players have also shared their thoughts. Jordan’s former opponent has now spoken his own thoughts.

Dominique Wilkins, a former NBA player who faced Jordan, has spoken on the controversy. Wilkins shared his opinions in a conversation with Esports Insider’s Kyle Odegard.

When Wilkins said, “I don’t believe in the GOAT and all that stuff,” When a player hasn’t faced some of the best players of his time, how can you claim that he is the greatest of all time? Bill Russell, like Wilt Chamberlain.

“But let me add this: Michael Jordan won six titles and advanced to six Finals with the same squad. After retiring to play another sport, he went on to win three titles. There has never been anything like that.

“No one will ever do the things that MJ did. That’s how I think if I’m going with the greatest player in history. Michael is going with me. I don’t mean to offend anyone, but I’m examining what he managed to do in such a short amount of time.

During his time with the Atlanta Hawks in the late 1980s and early 1990s, Wilkins faced Jordan. The forward probably chose Jordan in this debate since he had a close-up look at him.

However, he also highlighted the primary justification for why Jordan is the only player to have the title of greatest of all time, which is his six titles in six tries. Many argue that James’ six losses are the weakest part of his case, despite the fact that he has won four NBA titles in ten attempts.

Jordan played 1,072 games with the Chicago Bulls and Washington Wizards, averaging 30.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 5.3 assists. James, by contrast, has averaged 27.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 7.4 assists while playing for the Lakers, Miami Heat, and Cleveland Cavaliers. https://beige-vulture-761661.hostingersite.com/wp-admin/
