Dear Creedence Clearwater Revival Fans, Friends, and the Entertainment Community at Large:
As I sit down to write this sincere note, I am overcome by the torrent of emotions that have flooded my spirit. Words feel inadequate to completely express my thanks, but I shall do my best to describe what is on my heart. This letter is a celebration of all of you who have accompanied me on this trip, through the highs and lows, successes and trials, and tunes that have linked us over time and distance.
To the fans: you are the lifeblood of my career. Your everlasting love and support have been the basis on which my music has grown. Your enthusiasm, passion, and commitment transformed Creedence Clearwater Revival’s songs become anthems from the moment they first touched the radio. You adopted our music as the soundtrack to your lives, giving it a timeless quality. From the backyards of small-town America to the busy streets of cities around the world, your voices singing “Proud Mary,” “Fortunate Son,” and “Have You Ever Seen the Rain” have been the most beautiful chorus I’ve ever heard.
Thank you to the entertainment community—musicians, producers, promoters, and everyone else who works tirelessly behind the scenes—for creating an environment conducive to creation. The stage was never solely mine; it was erected and illuminated by your efforts. The camaraderie we enjoyed, the lessons we learnt together, and our shared enthusiasm for music all helped shape the artist I am today. I am forever grateful to my Creedence Clearwater Revival comrades for the magic we created together. Those times of synchronicity, when the music seemed to come from a higher source, are some of my most treasured recollections.
