An Epochal Open Letter from a Devoted Alica Schmidt Fan to the IAAF, Fans, and the World Sporting Community

Dear IAAF, fellow supporters, and the ever-passionate international sporting community,

I write this letter with much pride and emotion, not as a star, athlete, or representative of any large organization, but as a devoted admirer of one of modern athletics’ most inspiring figures: Alica Schmidt. This statement is sent with real respect for everything she represents, as well as profound thanks to every individual and organization that has helped her on her wonderful journey.

Alica Schmidt has become a symbol not only of athletic achievement, but also of perseverance, class, and genuineness. As fans, we’ve seen her develop into a global track and field ambassador, with her strength on the track equaled only by her humility and elegance off it. She represents the dreams of numerous young athletes who aspire to be where she is: on the world stage, competing not just for medals, but also for pride, purpose, and passion.

Thank you, IAAF, for creating the platform that has allowed athletes like Alica to thrive. Your dedication to fairness, excellence, and the recognition of athletic skill has enabled the world to experience the grandeur of athletes such as her. Your championships, accolades, and relentless labor behind the scenes have helped to bring aspirations to life and propel careers.

Thank you to all of the fans, whether in Germany or around the world, for your continued support. You have encouraged Alica and countless other athletes on their worst days with cheers, social media posts, stadium waves, and personal letters. We are more than just fans; we are members of a family that prioritizes work over ease, perseverance over perfection, and spirit over speed.

To the entire athletic community—coaches, sponsors, federations, and even critics—you have all contributed to the resilient, poised athlete we see today. Alica Schmidt’s journey is about more than just running fast; it’s about running with purpose through expectations, injuries, public scrutiny, and personal development. She exemplifies what it means to be an athlete in today’s world: composed under pressure, graceful in failure, and forceful in victory.

As a fan, I’ve grown alongside her, learning from her dedication, determination, and unflinching devotion to the sport. She reminds us that success is a journey, not a destination, and that with each step, we may inspire the world.

To Alica: Thank you for shining a light in the sports world. Thank you for teaching young females that beauty and power can coexist. Thank you for demonstrating that humility can coexist with worldwide prominence. Above all, thank you for staying loyal to yourself.

Here’s to the next chapter, race, and dream. We’ll be there to applaud, support, and believe.

With profound admiration,
A proud fan of #ForeverTeamAlica 💙🏃‍♀️✨.
