An Epochal Open Letter from Carl to Nazareth, Fans, and the Entire Nazareth Community.
Dear Nazareth family,
As I sit down to write this, my heart is full of love, admiration, and great respect for the incredible trip we have had together. The road to rock & roll is paved with passion, resilience, and constant support from those who believe in the music. Today, I’d want to take a moment to convey my heartfelt gratitude to my bandmates, fans, and the entire Nazareth community for their love and encouragement during my time with this famous band.
To my fellow band members—Jimmy, Lee, Pete, and everyone who has contributed to this extraordinary legacy—I am honoured to stand beside you, carrying on the flame of one of rock’s greatest bands. The camaraderie, intensity on stage, and commitment to preserving Nazareth’s music have been nothing short of inspirational. This band has a soul that goes beyond time, and being a part of it has been a tremendous honour.
To the fans, you are Nazareth’s heartbeat. Your voices, energy, and commitment to our band have made everything possible. Whether you’ve been with us from the beginning of Hair of the Dog or have only recently found our music, your constant support means the world. Every time we take the stage, it’s for you—for the love of the music we share and the memories we continue to make together.
I must take a moment to pay special respect to the late, great Dan McCafferty, a true rock classic whose voice defined Nazareth for decades. Dan’s powerful, deep vocals and distinct presence transformed Nazareth into what it is today. He was more than simply a frontman; he was a legend, a storyteller, and a force of nature. His enthusiasm and dedication to music left an indelible mark on the world, and we will always honour his legacy by preserving the spirit of Nazareth. Dan, you are sorely missed, but your voice and passion will go on.
Thank you to the entire Nazareth community—the crew, the promoters, the journalists, and everyone else who has helped this band become where it is today. Your efforts behind the scenes have enabled us to accomplish what we love most: share amazing music with the world.
