An Epochal Open Letter from Latrell Mitchell. To the South Sydney Rabbitohs, our enthusiastic supporters, and the entire rugby community, I am writing this letter out of great thanks, introspection, and overwhelming admiration for the trip we have taken together. From the moment I entered the game, I was blessed with opportunities, challenges, and an extraordinary support system that helped form me into the player and person I am today.

From the time I stepped into the game, I was blessed with opportunities, challenges, and an incredible support system that helped shape me into the player and person I am today.
To the fans, you are the club’s heartbeat. Your constant support, passion, and drive have propelled me through highs and lows. Every time I walked onto the pitch, I felt the enthusiasm of hundreds of people who believed in me. Your chanting, flags, and love made all of our efforts worthwhile. Thank you for sticking by me, bringing me up when I needed it the most, and welcoming me as one of your own.
I owe so much to rugby as a whole. Rugby league has given me purpose, discipline, and the opportunity to inspire others. From the grassroots where it all began to the vast stages where dreams come true, I’ve been fortunate to be a part of something bigger than myself. Thank you to my mentors, coaches, and teammates for pushing, leading, and challenging me to improve every day.
This road is far from done, but I’d like to take a moment to thank everyone who has shown me so much love and support. I am proud of what we have accomplished together, and I am excited for what the future holds. No matter where the road takes me, South Sydney and its great rugby community will always hold a particular place in my heart.
