An Epochal Open Letter from Kelsea Ballerini to Morgan Evans, Fans, and the Whole Music Community
To Morgan, my fans, and the entire music community:
As I sit here with my heart full and my mind flooded with memories, I can’t help but reflect on the fantastic path that has led me to this point. This letter expresses gratitude, growth, and heartfelt appreciation for the people, love, and experiences that have formed me as an artist and person.
Morgan describes our path together as one of music, passion, and shared dreams. Though our paths have diverged, I will always be grateful for your encouragement and belief in me. You were present in moments of doubt, success, and the calm spaces between. Music brought us together and, in many ways, continues to link us. I’ll always remember the moments we shared on and off stage, the heartfelt songs, and the lessons we both learnt. Life changes, love takes on new shapes, and I have nothing but admiration and gratitude for what we had and learnt from it.
My fans have been my safe haven, my support, and my motivation to keep creating and singing my truth. You’ve been there for me through every song, chapter, high, and tragedy. You’ve allowed me to be vulnerable, messy, and authentic, which is a gift I don’t take lightly. Your love and support have given me the strength to embrace all aspect of my journey, including the joy, anguish, and everything in between. Whether it was through lyrics that related to your personal experiences or moments shared at concerts where we sang our hearts out together, you made me feel seen, understood, and genuinely loved.
Thank you to the entire music community for providing me with a platform to grow, express myself, and share my passion with the world. The journey has not always been simple, but the beauty of music is that it allows us to transmute our experiences into something universally relatable. I am extremely grateful for the opportunities, partnerships, and friendships that have helped shape my career and artwork.
As I move on, remember that I will carry this love, these teachings, and this thankfulness with me. My heart is open, my voice is powerful, and my tale continues to unfold. Thank you for taking part in it.
