An open letter from Lainey Wilson to her family, fans, and the entire country music community
Dear Family, Fans, and Country Music Lovers:
As I sit here, reflecting on this great adventure, my heart is full with thankfulness. From a small-town Louisiana girl chasing a dream to performing on some of the largest venues in country music, one thing is certain: I wouldn’t be here without you. So today, I want to take a moment to thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for the love, support, and unwavering belief in me throughout the years.
To my family, you have been my rock, foundation, and greatest source of strength. You’ve encouraged me through every stage of this journey, reminding me of who I am and where I came from. Your love has carried me through difficult times, and your faith in me has been the gasoline that keeps me going. Every song I create, note I sing, and dream I pursue is because you taught me never to give up.
And to the whole country music community—artists, songwriters, musicians, radio stations, industry professionals, and everyone who has helped open doors along the way—you have provided a platform for me to grow, develop, and share my heart via music. The path to success is never simple, but with your help, support, and kindness, I’ve found a place to belong.
Country music is more than a genre; it represents a way of life, a family, and a home. And I feel extremely honoured to be a part of this great universe. Thank you for making my aspirations a reality. I promise to continue writing, singing, and telling my tales in the most honest way I know how. This is only the beginning, and I’m looking forward to all the miles we’ll cover together.
