Dear BBC, Fans, and the Entire Entertainment Community:
As I sit down to write this letter, I am overcome with appreciation for the great path that has led me to this point in my career. Today, I’d like to express my gratitude for the consistent love, support, and opportunities that have helped me grow as a broadcaster and as a person.
Thank you, BBC, for becoming the foundation of my profession. Joining your ranks was the beginning of a transformative journey in which I was able to refine my trade and find my voice. From reporting to presenting, I’ve been lucky to be a part of some of our time’s most important stories. The trust you had in me, together with the resources and support you gave, produced an environment in which I could learn, adapt, and thrive. The BBC’s tradition of quality has always served as an inspiration and a benchmark to which I aspire.
My supporters’ continuous support has been vital in the success of my profession. Whether you watched me at the break of dawn or shared your thoughts and good words throughout the years, your support has kept me motivated and grounded. Your belief in me, especially during times of doubt, has served as a continual reminder of the privilege and responsibility that comes with being in the public spotlight. You’ve been my cheerleaders, critics, and partners on this incredible adventure, and I’m eternally thankful.
Thank you to my colleagues and the larger entertainment community for their collaboration, companionship, and inspiration. I’ve had the opportunity of working with some of the most talented and devoted people in the industry. Your enthusiasm, innovation, and professionalism have consistently pushed me to give my all to every broadcast.
Finally, I am very grateful for the enabling atmosphere that has fostered my development throughout the years. The opportunities to push outside of my comfort zone, face new difficulties, and share meaningful tales have helped shape who I am today.
Thank you for believing in me and being a part of this amazing adventure. We’ve created something very unique together, and I’m excited and grateful for the next phase.
