An Open Letter from Carole King to My Devoted Fans and the Entire Entertainment Community
Dear Fans and Respected Members of the Entertainment Community,
As I reflect on my incredible life and career, I am overcome with gratitude and admiration for the road I have been blessed to tread. I’ve always said that music has been my constant companion, but the truth is that all of you—my devoted fans and the incredible entertainment community—have actually made this journey possible. Today, I’d want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for your constant love, support, and encouragement over the years.
You, my dear fans, have been the heartbeat of my music. From the first notes I penned as a young girl dreaming of melodies and harmonies to the songs that made their way into your hearts, you have been at my side the entire way. You’ve sung along to Tapestry, told tales about how songs like “It’s Too Late” or “You’ve Got a Friend” have touched your life, and attended performances with the type of enthusiasm and intensity that makes performing an absolute privilege. Your relationship to my music has given my work more importance than I could have anticipated.
You have celebrated my victories and supported me through difficulties, and your belief in me has been a constant source of motivation. Your love of music, your passion, and your voices remind me why I make songs in the first place: to connect, heal, and bring people together. You are more than simply fans; you are my extended family, and I will always carry you in my heart.
I am eternally thankful to my friends and colleagues in the entertainment industry for the opportunities and collaborations that have helped shape my career. From my early days in the Brill Building, working with some of the most great songwriters of our time, to the producers, musicians, and industry leaders who believed in me when I was just getting started, your support has been critical to my career. You gave me a platform to share my voice, and I am eternally grateful.
You, the musicians and artists I’ve had the pleasure of working with, have been my creative partners, colleagues, and inspiration. We’ve created music that transcends time and place, and those moments of doing something wonderful together will always be among my most treasured memories.
The producers, engineers, sound technicians, managers, and crew are the industry’s unsung heroes. Your devotion and hard work enabled my songs to reach a global audience. Thank you for believing in me and working tirelessly to bring these tunes to life.

As I reflect on the years, I am filled with enormous pride and gratitude for the adventure we have taken together. But, more importantly, I’m looking forward to the future—the songs that will be created, the concerts that will take place, and the connections that will be made via music.
