Jennifer Lawrence’s Epochal Open Letter to Hollywood, Her Fans, and the Entire Entertainment Community

Dear Hollywood, my most devoted fans, and the extraordinary entertainment community,

As I compose this letter, I am filled with tremendous appreciation and humility. Reflecting on my journey, I feel compelled to convey my profound gratitude to each and every one of you who has been a part of my story—those who have encouraged, directed, and inspired me to grow as an artist and a person.

Hollywood, the land where dreams become reality, has been my home for many years. It was here that a Louisville, Kentucky, teenager with huge dreams but no plan discovered her voice. From my first auditions to the times on set that taught me the subtleties of the profession, Hollywood has fostered creativity and opportunity. It provided me with a platform to share experiences that touched people all around the world, for which I am eternally grateful.

My supporters are the driving force behind my profession. You’ve showed me love in ways I never imagined possible, whether by viewing my films, sending me encouraging comments, or simply believing in me when I doubted myself. Your continuous support during my highs and patience during my lows have become a beacon of light in this often unpredictable sector. Knowing that I have affected your life, whether via laughter, tears, or moments of connection, has given my job a deeper significance.

Thank you to the entire entertainment community—the authors, directors, producers, and crews that worked so hard behind the scenes—for allowing me to be a part of your creativity. You’ve pushed me to take risks, trusted me with your experiences, and encouraged me to develop as an actor. Each position I’ve held has been a team endeavour, and I’m constantly inspired by the ingenuity and tenacity of everyone I’ve had the opportunity to work with.

The route I’ve taken has not always been simple. Like many others in this field, I’ve battled difficulties, self-doubt, and times of terror. But, despite it all, the support and affection of this great community has lifted me up. Hollywood is more than a destination; it’s a community of dreamers and doers who believe in the power of narrative to transform the world.

As I look to the future, I am more driven than ever to keep growing, learning, and pushing myself. I want to play roles that challenge conventions and communicate important stories about the beauty and complexities of the human experience. And I promise to use my platform to lift others, just as so many of you have lifted me.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for the love, laughter, teachings, and opportunities. I am who I am due of this amazing community, which I will never take for granted.
