To the Duke Blue Devils, Our Fans, and the Entire Blue Community
Dear Duke Family,
As I take a moment to reflect on this past year—one marked by unforgettable memories, immense growth, and moments that will last a lifetime—I feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude and pride. This letter comes from a place of deep appreciation for every person who has supported Duke Basketball throughout this journey.
To our players, past and present: your commitment, resilience, and belief in our shared vision inspire me every day. You show up with heart, discipline, and a relentless desire to grow—not only as athletes but as young men of character and purpose. Watching you grow as teammates, students, and leaders has been one of the most rewarding parts of my role. Every step we took this season—every win, every challenge, every moment of adversity—was built on your dedication. You wear that Duke jersey with honor, and you represent something much bigger than yourselves.
To our fans—you are the soul of Duke Basketball. Whether you were in Cameron Indoor, cheering through the screen from afar, or showing your love on social media, your unwavering support has never gone unnoticed. There is something deeply special about our fan base. The energy you bring to every game, the passion you have for our team, and the way you celebrate our highs and stand firm through our lows—that’s what makes this program legendary.
To the Duke University leadership, faculty, staff, and the broader Durham community—thank you for providing an environment where our athletes can thrive both on and off the court. Your support behind the scenes—through academics, mentorship, and holistic development—makes Duke more than a basketball program. It makes us a family. The commitment this community shows to nurturing growth, integrity, and excellence helps shape the lives of these young men long after the final buzzer.
Personally, stepping into this role has been the honor of a lifetime. I am humbled every day by the legacy I’ve inherited and the trust placed in me to carry it forward. I am proud of what we’ve built, and even more excited for what lies ahead.
