BREAKING: Cat Osterman -Signs with Oklahoma Sooners Commits to Finish His Career with the Florida Gators…

As of February 24, 2025, there have been no official reports indicating that Cat Osterman, the renowned former softball pitcher, has signed with the Oklahoma Sooners or committed to finishing her career with the Florida Gators. Osterman, who had an illustrious collegiate career at the University of Texas from 2002 to 2006, retired from competitive softball in the fall of 2021. She has since been honored by her alma mater, with her jersey number 8 officially retired in a ceremony on April 16, 2022.

During her tenure at Texas, Osterman achieved remarkable records, including 136 career victories, a 0.51 ERA, and 2,265 strikeouts. She also led the NCAA in ERA and strikeout ratio multiple times, setting an all-time season record in strikeout ratio at 15.4.

Post-retirement, Osterman has been actively involved in the softball community. She operates a softball development academy associated with RBI Austin and serves as a color commentator for Texas softball on the Longhorn Network.

Given her deep-rooted connections with the University of Texas and her retirement from active play, it is unlikely that Osterman would sign with or play for other collegiate programs such as the Oklahoma Sooners or the Florida Gators.
