During his tenure, he guided the team to an impressive 104-50-9-8 record and was named AHL Coach of the Year in 2021. His ability to nurture talent and foster a winning culture made him a standout candidate.
Carbery most recently worked as an assistant coach for the Toronto Maple Leafs from 2021 to 2023. In Toronto, he oversaw the power play unit, which ranked first in the NHL during the 2021–22 season and second the following year.
