Texas A&M Aggies sign All-American RB Desmond Reid. CBS News Report The Texas A&M Aggies scored a big recruiting triumph when All-American running back Desmond Reid revealed his commitment to the program. Reid, who had originally committed to the Pittsburgh Panthers, reversed his decision, electrifying the Aggies fan base and reshaping their 2024 recruiting class.

Reid is regarded as one of the nation’s top running back prospects, bringing explosive playmaking abilities and a diversified skill set to College Station. The 5’11”, 205-pound phenom from Charlotte, North Carolina, is renowned for his vision, athleticism, and ability to make opponents miss in open space. During his high school career, he rushed for over 4,000 yards and 50 touchdowns, receiving All-American honours and interest from elite institutions across the country.

Reid revealed in a statement why he switched his commitment to Texas A&M. “After careful thought and discussions with my family, I determined that Texas A&M was the greatest environment for me to develop as a player and a person. “The coaching staff’s vision for me, combined with the program’s commitment to excellence, made this an easy decision,” he stated.

Jimbo Fisher, the Aggies’ head coach, expressed his delight at adding Reid to the roster. “Desmond is a standout talent who adds a dynamic element to our backfield. “We’re excited to welcome him to the Aggie family and can’t wait to see what he accomplishes here,” Fisher said.
