Andy Fletcher, the late keyboardist of the iconic 1980s band Depeche Mode, left an estate valued at £46.8 million in his will. Fletcher, who co-founded the band in 1980, passed away in May 2022 at the age of 60 due to an aortic dissection. His will allocated the majority of his estate to his wife, Grianne, and their children, Megan and Joe.
In addition to the substantial inheritance for his family, Fletcher designated £15,000 for a remembrance party to celebrate his life. This gathering took place in London a month after his passing, honoring his memory and the impact he had on those around him.
Fletcher’s role in Depeche Mode extended beyond his musical contributions; he was instrumental in managing the band’s business affairs, including legal matters and contracts. His dedication to the band’s success was evident throughout their career, during which they sold over 100 million records worldwide and released 18 albums. Despite his passing, Depeche Mode continues to perform, with remaining members Dave Gahan and Martin Gore leading the group.
Fletcher’s death was a significant loss to the music community, and his legacy endures through his contributions to Depeche Mode and the lasting impact of their music.
