Dear Patriotic Nation,
As I reflect on this great chapter in my life, I am overwhelmed with gratitude, humility, and pride. From the time I walked through the doors of Gillette Stadium, I was greeted with not only great expectations, but also steadfast support, true belief, and a strong sense of heritage. And now, as I continue this adventure as your quarterback, I’d like to take a moment to express my gratitude.
Thank you to everyone at the New England Patriots, from the front office to the coaching staff, to every equipment manager, trainer, and squad member, for believing in me. You saw more than simply a North Carolina draft pick; you saw promise, character, and dedication. You offered me the space to grow, the skills to succeed, and the motivation to keep going, even when the lights were brightest and the times were toughest.
Coach Jerod Mayo, your leadership has meant more to me than words can explain. You’ve guided me as a player and as a guy. You taught me that football is more than simply X’s and O’s; it’s about discipline, perseverance, and trust. You challenged me to set a good example, to work hard for everything, and to never settle. And in doing so, you helped form me into the quarterback I am now.
To my teammates – my combat brothers — you are the reason I proudly lace up my cleats every day. Every rep in practice, every fourth-quarter drive, every hushed gaze in the huddle—we’ve gone through it all together. You’ve had my back through every touchdown and every tough play, and I’ll never take it lightly. We’re more than just a squad. We’re a family.
And thank you to the finest football fans on the planet, Patriots Nation, for embracing me from the start. You are the franchise’s heartbeat. Your cheers, enthusiasm, and dedication have carried me through both highs and lows. I overheard you in the stands. I felt your energy at every home game. You’ve invited me into your community, homes, and hearts. It is a privilege to represent you.
From icy skirmishes in Foxborough to times that tested our resolve, each photo has been a milestone in a trip I’ll never forget. You’ve given me more than just a platform; you’ve given me a purpose. This team has a standard — built by legends, propelled by legacy — and I accept the obligation to uphold it every time I take the field.
This is only the beginning. I promise to keep battling, growing, and leading—not for me, but for every Patriot who proudly wears red, white, and blue.
