Dear Ryan, Ohio State Buckeyes, devoted fans, and the entire Buckeye Nation,
As I write this letter, I am pondering profoundly on a path that has been both humble and extraordinary. A journey that includes family, faith, and community, as well as football. This letter is a love letter to the route we’ve taken, the memories we’ve created, and the great gratitude I have for the Ohio State community and all you’ve contributed to our lives.
To Ryan—my husband, partner, and closest friend—watching your development as a coach, leader, and man under the spotlight of Buckeye football has been one of the greatest joys of my life. I’ve witnessed the long hours, the silent sacrifices, and the way you’ve borne not only the weight of a program, but the hopes of millions. Your resilience, humility, and heart have stayed constant throughout the wins, hard-fought losses, and all in between. I’m extremely proud of you—not only for what you’ve accomplished, but also for how you went about it.
Thank you to the Ohio State administration for believing in Ryan—not only as a coach, but as a person with integrity, vision, and principles. You allowed him to lead with both discipline and compassion. You trusted his voice and allowed him to develop in one of college football’s most illustrious programs. Your belief transformed our life.
The coaching staff, players, and support personnel are more than just coworkers and teammates. You have become part of our extended family. I’ve seen the fraternity in the locker room, the hard days of practice, and the shared aspirations that extend beyond the scoreboard. The way you’ve rallied behind each other, lifted each other up, and formed young men not only into athletes but also into leaders is what makes Ohio State unique.
To the fans: how can I ever thank you enough? You’ve greeted us with open arms, warmly accepted our family, and demonstrated a rare and tremendous degree of love and loyalty. You’ve made the Shoe roar with pride, supported us through highs and lows, and made Columbus feel like home. Your spirit is the program’s heartbeat, and your devotion has seen us through the most difficult times.
To the Buckeye community as a whole—alumni, students, teachers, and fans all across the world—you’ve created something greater than football. You have created a culture of excellence, togetherness, and tradition. In doing so, you’ve created an environment in which Ryan can thrive—not only as a coach, but also as a father, husband, and servant leader.

As we look ahead to the future, know that Ohio State will always be in our hearts, no matter where the road leads. This place has altered us forever, and we will be eternally grateful for every minute.
With love and thanks.
