Dear Miami Heat family,

As I sit down to compose this letter, my heart is filled. Full of thanks, memories, and love for a city and organization that took a chance on a young Milwaukee kid and provided him with the stage, support, and strength he needed to grow into the man and athlete he is today. This letter is more than simply words; it is a reflection of my journey, and our journey together.

From the minute I was drafted by the Miami Heat, I knew I was in for something extraordinary. This franchise was established not simply on talent, but on culture. “Heat Culture” represents hard effort, accountability, toughness, and solidarity. And, from the start, I was encouraged, challenged, and inspired to live up to that level every time I took the court.

To Coach Erik Spoelstra, Pat Riley, and the whole front office, thank you for believing in me, trusting me, and never lowering the bar. You pushed me to be more than simply a scorer or a highlight: you pushed me to be a competitor, a student of the game, and a true professional. You stood by my side through every high and low, and I’ll be eternally grateful for the development you’ve instilled in me both on and off the court.

Thank you to my former and present teammates for every battle, drill, word of encouragement, and moment of brotherhood. We’ve overcome injuries, difficulties, playoff battles, and unforgettable performances. We’ve shed tears of delight and heartbreak. Throughout it all, we stood together as a family. What we’ve created cannot be broken.

Thank you for your love, Miami Heat fans. You have encouraged me when I was down and celebrated with me when I was at my peak. You’ve stood with me through injuries, slumps, and comebacks, and your dedication has never gone unappreciated. Every time I hear the shout of “Let’s go Heat!” I feel it in my soul.

You allowed me to be myself – to exhibit my individuality, learn from my mistakes, and become a leader. Most importantly, you provided me with a place to live. A place where a child with enormous goals can achieve much more. You’ve watched me grow from a 19-year-old rookie to a man who wears this shirt with pride and purpose.

This is not a goodbye letter. This is a love letter, a thank you letter, and a reminder of how far we have come. And, believe me, the best chapters are yet ahead. I commit to continue grinding, improving, and battling for this city and team with everything I’ve got.

Tyler Herro,

Miami Heat point guard,

#HeatCulture

#305Forever.
