Dear Bruins family,
As I sit down to write this letter, my heart is filled with gratitude, introspection, and great appreciation for the adventure we’ve shared together. From the moment I put on the black and gold sweater, I knew Boston was more than a city; it was home. And now, after years of skating with some of the world’s greatest teammates, coaches, and fans, I’d want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude.
Thank you to the Boston Bruins for believing in a little youngster from Havířov, Czech Republic, and giving him the opportunity to live his goal. Your trust and unflinching dedication to my development have meant more to me than words can express. From the front office to the training staff and everyone that keeps this squad going, your dedication and hard work are always appreciated. You’ve laid the groundwork and created an environment that has allowed me to develop not only as a player but also as a person.
I’ve learned from legends, fought alongside warriors, and shared a locker room with some of the best people I’ll ever know. I’d like to express my gratitude to my coaches and teammates, past and present, for pushing me, challenging me, and standing by my side in every victory and setback. The brotherhood we’ve built on and off the ice is something I’ll cherish for the rest of my life.
To the fans—oh, those amazing Bruins supporters. I’ve had the honor of skating in front of you night after night, and I appreciate your intensity, fire, and loyalty. You’ve been there for TD Garden, whether it was a game-changing goal or a difficult loss that tested our commitment. You’ve shown up during snowstorms, weeknights, rebuilding years, and playoff runs. You scream our names as if they were family, and that is exactly what you have become.
Thank you to the whole Bruins community for welcoming me, supporting charitable causes that are near to my heart, and reminding me that this game is about more than what happens on the ice. It’s all about connection. It is about giving back. It’s all about unity. I’ve witnessed personally how Bruins fans unite around one another during difficult times, and I’ve never been more pleased to represent you.
I arrived to Boston as a youngster with a dream, and because to your support, I’ve become a part of something historic. I’ve worn the Spoked-B with pride, knowing the legacy of those who came before and the obligation of those who wear it today. And I guarantee you that I will continue to give everything I have for this jersey, city, and community.
No matter where my hockey career takes me in the coming years, a piece of my spirit will always be sewn into the fabric of Boston. I am eternally grateful.
