At a surprising press conference at Petco Park, Tatís, one of the most electrifying players in Major League Baseball, addressed up for the first time regarding speculations about his well-being.
Tatís expressed gratitude to his teammates, the Padres organization, and fans for their support and prayers. The rumors and questions about my health have been painful, but I want you to hear from me personally. I just had a personal health scare that demanded my whole attention. Fortunately, with the correct care and support, I’m getting better and feeling more like myself. I want to reassure everyone that my health is improving, and I’m determined to return to this squad stronger than before.
Tatís paused to gather himself before delivering an emotional greeting to Padres fans.
“You all mean the world to me,” he went on. “Your encouragement, especially during these uncertain times, has been extremely powerful and uplifting. Baseball is my passion, but my health and well-being will always take first. Right now, my focus is on recovering and doing what is best for me and my family. Thank you for sticking with me; I pledge to give you my all on the field for as long as I’m able.”
