Dear HEP Suzuki Family, Fans, and the Entire Motocross Community: Today, as I sit down to write this, I am overcome with gratitude and emotion. After reflecting on the great ride I’ve had, I feel it’s time to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who has been a part of my story – a story based on dreams, perseverance, disappointments, wins, and, most importantly, unwavering support.
To HEP Suzuki, you believed in me not only as a rider, but also as a person. You offered me the freedom to be myself, the opportunity to express my passion, and the resources to push the boundaries of what I thought was possible. Every technician, team member, and leader has been more than just a colleague; you have been my family. In a sport that requires so much physically, cognitively, and emotionally, you created an atmosphere in which I could flourish, heal, and perform. You believed me when others doubted me, and you stuck with me when difficulties arose. I will carry that loyalty and belief with me throughout my life.
To my fans, you have been the lifeblood of my profession. From my early racing days in Europe to the booming crowds of America, your cheers, encouragement, and unflinching faith have served as my fuel. You were always there for me, whether I was on the podium or recovering from an injury. Your placards, words, and cheers, whether from the stands or halfway around the world, had an impact. They encouraged me when I needed it the most and made every battle worthwhile.
To the entire motocross community, I am humbled to have been a part of something so much bigger than myself. This sport, with all of its highs and lows, has given me meaning, identity, and amazing memories. Thank you for accepting a child from Germany and treating him as one of your own. Thank you for advancing the sport, enjoying the spirit of competition, and cultivating a global brotherhood that crosses borders.
Motocross is a difficult path that tests every fiber of your being, but it is a beautiful one when undertaken with the proper companions. I am beyond grateful to have had the proper people by my side every step of the journey. As I look forward to the next chapter,
