Kelly Babstock’s Open Letter to the Boston Fleet, Admirers, and the Whole Boston Fleet Community

Greetings, Boston Fleet Family

My heart is bursting with excitement, thankfulness, and profound appreciation for each and every one of you who has shared in my journey as I sit down to write this letter. I realized I had joined something unique—something greater than a game—as soon as I joined this amazing team. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Boston Fleet organization, my teammates, the coaching staff, and most importantly, you, the incredible fans who have stood by me through every single moment.

For me, hockey has never been just a sport. It has served as my greatest teacher, my passion, and my purpose. I have developed both as a player and as a person via the highs and lows, the wins and the losses. And without the Boston Fleet community’s steadfast support, none of this would have been possible.

My teammates are like a second family to me. I will always treasure our relationship, both on and off the ice. Together, we have fought, encouraged one another, and celebrated victories that will live on in our memories forever. I am proud to have skated with such amazing athletes and much greater people, and your commitment and perseverance motivate me every day.

I consider my teammates to be like family. Our bond, on and off the ice, is something I will always cherish. We have fought together, supported one another, and shared triumphs that will always be etched in our memories. I am honored to have skated alongside such incredible athletes and wonderful people, and your dedication and tenacity inspire me daily.

And where do I even start, fans? This team’s lifeblood is you. We have been driven through every game by your enthusiasm, your applause, and your steadfast support. Seeing you in the stands, listening to your voices, and sensing your enthusiasm makes me remember why I initially became enamored with this game. Your faith in us never falters, win or lose, and for that I will always be grateful.

One of the greatest honors of my life has been serving in the Boston Fleet. I will always be grateful for everything this city, this team, and this community have given me. Boston will always be home, and the Fleet will always be family, no matter where my path leads me.

I appreciate everything you’ve done. There is yet the best to come.

With appreciation and affection,
Babstock, Kelly
