Open Letter from Vivian Campbell to Fans and the Metal Rock Community
Dear Fans and Metal Rock Community,
I am writing this letter to express my deep gratitude and address some reflections on my journey as a musician. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of standing on stages around the world, creating music that has resonated with so many of you. I’ve always believed that music has a profound way of connecting people, and the heavy metal community is a testament to this truth.
As many of you know, my journey has been filled with highs and challenges, from my early days with Dio to my time with Def Leppard and other projects. Through it all, your unwavering support has been the anchor that has kept me grounded. Your dedication, passion, and love for the music have inspired me to keep pushing boundaries and to remain true to the essence of this genre.
I want to take this moment to also call on all bands and artists in our community to continue fostering a spirit of unity. The metal genre has always been about breaking barriers, defying norms, and standing together against adversity. Let us use our platforms not just for entertainment but to inspire and uplift our audience, especially in times when the world seems divided.
Lastly, to the young and aspiring musicians out there: stay true to your voice. The path isn’t always easy, but if you remain authentic and committed to your craft, the rewards are immeasurable.
Thank you all for being part of this incredible journey. I am honored to be a part of such a vibrant and passionate community. Together, let us continue to keep the spirit of metal alive.
Yours in music,
Vivian Campbell
