An Open Letter by Robin Trower to the Trower Band, Fans, and the Entire Trower Community
To my beloved Trower band, dedicated fans, and the entire Trower community,
There are times in life when words cannot express the amount of appreciation one feels, but today, I shall try. As I reflect on this remarkable journey—a path lined with music, passion, and unfailing support—I am overwhelmed with gratitude to each and every one of you who has walked beside me.
You’ve been the driving force behind my music since the beginning. Whether it was in the smoky clubs of the 1960s, the booming arenas of the 1970s, or the tiny settings of recent years, you were there—listening, feeling, and putting life into every note I played. Your unfailing faith in my craft has kept the fire burning in my soul and the strings beneath my fingers.
To my great bandmates—past and present—you have been the architects of sound, crafting and refining each melody with your genius. Without you, the music wouldn’t be complete. Your talent, devotion, and camaraderie have been the foundation for my music’ full expression. I am truly honoured to have shared the stage and studio with such exceptional musicians.
You, my admirers, are the genuine soul of my musical heritage. Your love of the blues, your enthusiasm for the power of the guitar, and your willingness to accompany me on this sonic trip have made each concert an amazing experience. From the letters, comments, and experiences you’ve shared to the numerous faces I’ve seen in the audience, your presence has been both humbling and encouraging.
Thank you to the entire Trower community: the radio DJs who kept the songs alive, the critics who pushed me to evolve, the venues that welcomed us, and the many souls who have played, covered, or simply listened to my music. You have created an environment in which creativity thrives, and I am eternally thankful.
Music is a gift that I am blessed to be able to share with the world. But without you, it would have been only a whisper in the wind. Thank you for contributing your ears, hearts, and souls to this enduring symphony.
With love and eternal gratitude.
