Minnesota Wild head coach John Hynes recently disclosed that forward Mats Zuccarello suffered a ruptured testicle after being struck by a hockey puck during a game against the Montreal Canadiens. Fortunately, the procedure was successful, and he is expected to be sidelined for approximately four weeks as he recovers.

Teammate Marcus Foligno recounted the incident, noting that Zuccarello was rushed to the hospital and underwent surgery that preserved the injured testicle. Foligno mentioned that Zuccarello’s protective cup had a “massive dent” from the impact.
