As I sit down to write this letter, my heart is filled with love and admiration for a community that has not only welcomed me, but also helped develop me into the player and person I am today. I knew the Dallas Stars were exceptional from the time I was recruited, but I had no idea how much of an impact they would have on my life.
Thank you, Dallas Stars organization, for believing in me. Thank you for the opportunity to pursue my aspirations on one of the world’s biggest platforms. The trust you have placed in me, the advice from our coaching staff, and the camaraderie in the locker room have all contributed to an environment in which I have thrived. I’ve learned a lot, not just about hockey, but also about leadership, tenacity, and professionalism.
To my present and former teammates, you’ve been more than simply on-ice colleagues. You have been brothers, mentors, and friends. We’ve shared highs and lows, lengthy road journeys, and memorable successes. I value every shift, goal, and battle we’ve faced together. It’s an honor to wear this shirt with you all.
To the fans: you’ve welcomed me with open arms. Every time I stepped on the ice at the American Airlines Center, I could feel your energy. You’ve been to a regular-season game, a playoff duel, or just a practice. Your applause, chants, and steadfast support have fueled me. Dallas is no longer just a city for me; it is my home.
To the wider Dallas community, thank you for supporting me off the ice. From school visits to community outreach activities, I’ve developed a strong bond with the people here that extends beyond the rink. You’ve shown me the value of giving back, being present, and using my platform to influence future generations.
I entered the league as a child with huge hopes. You’ve helped make those dreams come true. You’ve supported me through both hardships and victories. Your faith and support have given me the courage to keep pushing, developing, and never taking a minute for granted.
The voyage is far from over. I am still as hungry and determined as ever to bring a championship to this great city—a championship that embodies the heart, determination, and unity of the Dallas Stars fanbase.
