The Arizona Cardinals promoted veteran running back Michael Carter to the active list for their Week 16 game against the The Cardinals also added OT Jackson Barton to the active roster alongside OT Paris Johnson Jr. Carter, 25, was a four-year starter at North Carolina who was named third-team All-American and first-team All-ACC in 2020. Carter was selected 107th overall by the Jets in the fourth round of the 2021 draft.

He got a four-year contract worth $4,287,366 million, including a $807,366 million signing bonus. Carer was in the third year of his contract when he was waived and claimed by the Cardinals. He was one of Arizona’s final roster cuts before being re-signed to the practice squad. Carter played nine games for the Jets and six with the Cardinals in 2023. He ran the ball 30 times for 187 yards and 0 touchdowns. He also grabbed 24 receptions on 31 targets for 101 yards and one touchdown.
