Great news for NHRA fans: “Fast” Jack Beckman is set to return as a full-time driver for John Force Racing (JFR) in the 2025 season. This announcement comes after a significant partnership renewal between Old World Industries and JFR, ensuring Beckman will pilot the PEAK Antifreeze and Coolant Chevrolet SS in pursuit of the Funny Car championship in the NHRA’s 2025 Mission Foods Drag Racing Series. citeturn0search0

Beckman’s return to full-time competition marks his first since 2020. In the 2024 season, he stepped in as a substitute driver for the legendary John Force, who suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI) following a high-speed crash in Richmond, Virginia, in June 2024. During his eight-race stint, Beckman showcased his prowess by advancing to the final round three times and securing victories in St. Louis and at the season-ending In-N-Out Burger Finals in Pomona. His impressive performance led to a second-place finish in the championship standings, just behind teammate Austin Prock. citeturn0search0

John Force, the iconic figure behind JFR, continues his recovery from the TBI under the care of specialists. While he has made significant progress, his return to competitive racing remains uncertain. In the meantime, Force has expressed his support for Beckman, stating, “I’m looking forward to cheering on Jack Beckman this season, as I continue my recovery.” citeturn0search5

The renewed partnership with Old World Industries plays a pivotal role in this development. Brian Bohlander, Director of Sports Marketing for Old World Industries, emphasized the company’s commitment: “We’re excited to have John, Jack, and the entire JFR organization representing the PEAK and BlueDef brands for years to come. Jack has done a tremendous job, on and off the track, and has earned this opportunity to race full time for the championship.” citeturn0search0

Beckman’s racing credentials are impressive. He clinched the NHRA Funny Car championship in 2012 and was the NHRA Super Comp Champion in 2003. Beyond his on-track achievements, Beckman has been a dedicated instructor, spending over 11 years teaching at Frank Hawley’s Drag Racing School, where he has trained more than 7,000 students. His commitment to the sport extends to preserving its history, as he actively contributes to the Wally Parks NHRA Motorsport Museum’s “History of Hot Rodding” series. citeturn0search3

As the 2025 season approaches, anticipation builds around Beckman’s return and his collaboration with JFR. Fans and analysts alike are eager to see how this partnership will impact the competitive landscape of the NHRA Funny Car series.
